“A wonderful experience …. truly extraordinary setting. Unlike the claustrophobia of convention-center art shows, this was a chance to see the artists in their creative settings, and it was an exceptional opportunity. …. this unforgettable event!”

“My husband and I were able to make several stops on the tour today and we loved it. The countryside is beautiful, as was the artwork. What fun we had. We will try to make it a 2 day excursion next year.”

Mark your calendars for the 2012 Northeast Iowa Artists' Studio Tour!

The site contains information for the 2011 tour. Please check back in early summer for updated 2012 information.

Nestled among the wooded hills and winding rivers, award-winning fine artists, many who exhibit in national caliber art fairs through-out the United States, will open their work-spaces for a behind-the-scenes view into how their work is created, some exclusively for this event!

All locations are open daily, free of charge, from 10am to 5pm.

During the three days, view painting, pottery, jewelery, photography, printmaking, sculpture, basketry, kaleidoscopes, and more. Many will be demonstrating techniques. All will be selling art. View new works, fresh off the designer’s work-bench!

Join us for this once-a-year happening. Visit one-room schoolhouses, historic buildings and creative work-spaces. See why some of Northeast Iowa’s best-known artists are so inspired by these beautiful surroundings.
